Living Arrows | Getting Outdoors

'You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth' Khalil Gibran.

This is one of my absolute favourite pictures for so many reasons. Firstly it was taken at Rufford Abbey which is my favourite place and wedding venue of choice (when Covid allows!). Secondly it's a picture with both my babies, something that never happens because neither one of them is ever still long enough! We only managed this one by chance as Iris was bombing down a hill shortly after this was taken.
Another reason I love this picture so much is because it's so autumnal. I love the cold weather, I adore getting wrapped up warm and heading out for a cosy walk. Nothing beats packing a flask and some snacks and just getting outdoors. I think I like it so much because as the weather gets colder there are less people around and I can relax a bit more. I'm hoping that as winter creeps in we still get the opportunity to get out and about like this. I'm thankful that the one thing Covid (hopefully) can't interfere with is my love of fresh winter air.

  1. I've always been a fair weather walker. Getting out and just walking is something I really just need to do more of! x

  2. I must admit I do like getting outside this time of year but I am not a fan of the rain. Lovely photo of the three of you x

Thank you for supporting me on my journey to raise awareness about mothers on the autistic spectrum. We do exist, we just need people to know we do!
