Living Arrows | Simple Pleasures

Katrina Over 30s UK blogger talking about parenting, autism, mental health, books and coeliac disease. What The Redhead Said Living Arrows UK Parenting Blog Link Up Khalil Gibran Quote

'You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth' Khalil Gibran.

It was a slow and steady week for us last week. Daddy had holidays to use before the end of the month so he took a week off work and we just hung out around the house, went for a daily walk and just played and relaxed at home.
I've been ordering jigsaw puzzles for my grandparents and fortunately they arrived in a giant cardboard box that brought us all hours of fun. Iris loved being a robot and then she decided she was the masked singer and we had to shout 'take it off' and cheer and shout when she took the box off her head. It was genuinely lovely to indulge in some basic, imaginative, child led play plus we got to wave at mama and grandad through the window when we dropped off the puzzles. My mood seems to have lifted slightly, maybe it's the promise of sunnier days ahead.

Thanks For Reading,

  1. Ah I love this! I've really enjoyed reading your posts... my mood seems to have lifted slightly in recent days too - since the snow actually - Groundhog Day remains but it's been a little more manageable x

  4. She makes a very good robot! I love how their imagination takes them to different places. Sounds like an act of kindness in gifting the puzzles has also given you all something too. Heres to sunnier days xx

Thank you for supporting me on my journey to raise awareness about mothers on the autistic spectrum. We do exist, we just need people to know we do!
