I've heard so many good things about The Guest List by Lucy Foley so I was eager to dive in. Set on a now uninhabited Irish island the novel focuses on the upcoming nuptials of successful online magazine editor Jules and the suave, charming and privately educated Will.  Bride and groom must face some unexpected truths as  family and friends disembark onto the mysterious island bringing with them more baggage than expected. The exclusive wedding, the first of its kind on this island, may bring more attention than originally planned.

Living Arrows | It's Flaming June Already!

Another half term over and done with and the first week of June has been and gone. I say it a lot but isn't time flying? I don't know how we are 6 months into the year, it's gone by in a blur. Iris spent 3 nights at my Mum and Step Dad's caravan so Daddy and I had 3 child free days. Daddy went to work and in our spare time we went to B&Q. We know how to live.

Accommodation | Tythe Lodge, Lincolnshire

Title image for blog post with text that reads 'travel and days out Tythe Lodge Lincolnshire NG34 9PT www.chatterfox.co.uk alongside an image of the inside of the lodge featuring a blue kitchen, a wooden dining table that seats six and a view into the double bedroom with en suite shower room.

Tythe Lodge is a wooden holiday lodge situated in the tiny hamlet of Howell. It's situated in the grounds of the owner's home. The owner's are on hand to help in emergencies (like when you forget ketchup for nuggets on the first day!) but the location of the property in relation to the owner's home  makes it feel exclusive and private. A lot of love and thought has gone into this holiday accommodation and it really shows.

Living Arrows | Traditional Fun

Picture of a 3 year old girl, her mummy and her grandma sat on horses on a carousel ride.

What a difference some sunshine makes! Everybody's mood has sky rocketed. Life is so much easier when you get outside to walk, run and play without freezing your bits off. One of our regular walking spots, Thoresby Park, was hosting it's annual traditional fun fair and what better way to usher in the half term than boarding a carousel with all the family.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love to read. It's something I've always enjoyed and I think it's so important that we grow and nurture a love of reading for future generations. We've really missed our trips to the library, it's so good to be back.  Here's what we've been reading this month....

Reading has always been a big part of our family life. I read so much as a child and my daughter appears to be following in my footsteps. Each month we aim to share the Books We've Been Reading and I thought it might be nice to have a nosey through the books that others have enjoyed. As a reader I'm always on the hunt for new reads and as a parent I always want to know what books to keep an eye out for in the library so whether it's children's books or adults books I'd love for you to take part in this link up and help us all to grow our 'to be read' piles!
