I've got so many lovely photos from this week, glorious close ups from our many, many trips to the park, happy times feeding the ducks and jumping in muddy puddles but I wanted to share this picture today because let's face it- this is how we've been spending most of our days.
Snuggled up in pjs, having floor picnics- in a tent, just because we can. The house is messy, there's toys everywhere and my to-do list is longer than Boris's hair. At the weekends Daddy asks 'what's the plan?' and every time I jokingly reply with 'just to survive' but I mean it. That is what my days have become. They aren't about 'plans' anymore, there's no playdates, no classes, no trips to the library. No structure, no cleaning rota and no food shopping. We just try to survive any way we can, which right now means having a tent in the living room!

ReplyDeleteCarpet picnics are the best!!! And surviving is all we can do isnt it? our weekends revolve around sport on the TV, doing the crossword and eating our own body weight in cheese!
ReplyDeleteSo much has gone out the window for us - the house is messier than I'd like it to be, we live at a slower pace and still have carpet picnics most days. The children love it! x
