Living Arrows | She's Back!

Image of a girl wearing Skye from Paw Patrol sunglasses, denim jacket and dress riding on a carousel horse on a vintage traditional hand powered merry go round. The girl has her hand in the air and is doing a thumbs up. She has a large grin and her hair is flowing behind her.

'You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth' Khalil Gibran.

After a few days of illness last week I think we can safely say that Iris is on the mend! How fabulous is this picture?!? It just perfectly captures her spirit. She's so confident, so funny and such a ball of energy. I'm clinging onto these moments as it feels like a matter of time before she's ill again- it's definitely the season as not only are there positive cases of Covid at pre-school but also now chicken pox! Autumn is usually my favourite time of year but now I have a pre-schooler I'm starting to change my mind.

Speaking of illness, this week it's my turn. It's not Covid but I've got a throat infection and an ear infection, two things that plague me all the time but I've never had both simultaneously and my word do I feel ill, add onto that the high strength antibiotics that upset my stomach and I am feeling very sorry for myself.

I'm saying a little prayer that we all stay well for half term as we've got an epic 4 hour trip planned to Peppa Pig World and I really don't want us to miss it. We've chosen accommodation with the longest free cancellation period that we could find but so many places aren't offering refunds in relation to Covid. I just hope that if anyone of us are ill that we can rearrange the accommodation and theme park tickets for another time as the thought of losing all the money we've paid out is giving me sleepless nights!

  2. This is a lovely photo. Sorry to hear you have been under the weather, I hope you are feeling better now. Keeping everything crossed for you for half term. I was looking at booking something the other day and was surprised by just how inflexible everything has become!

Thank you for supporting me on my journey to raise awareness about mothers on the autistic spectrum. We do exist, we just need people to know we do!
